Nortecom Direct Support - Remote Control
High-speed Internet access has made Remote Control support an increasingly popular option. Once it has been setup, you can allow a Nortecom Support Technician to take temporary control of your computer, virtually "Sitting at your Desk" to provide Technical Support. The Support Technician can examine your system directly, and can perform most maintenance, repair, and upgrade procedures for you. In many cases, if not most, this is the most efficient means of accessing Technical Support.
To use this service, simply e-mail your completed Technical Support Request Form to support@nortecom.com, and then place your call to Nortecom Technical Support at 905-627-6936. You must then allow the Support Technician to have temporary access to your computer. The Support Technician will then temporarily connect to your system, attempt to perform the requested service, and then will disconnect from your system. Upon disconnecting, the Support Technician will not be able to reconnect to your system without your permission.
Direct Remote Control Support is NOT a free service. Like Direct Telephone Support, it is billed on a per-minute basis, at the rate of US$1.50 per minute, or part thereof. The billing time begins immediately when a Nortecom Support Technician connects to your computer, and ends as soon as the remote connection is ended. Often this service is used in conjunction with Direct Telephone Support. In this case, you are not billed for both services simultaneously, but are billed for the total time that the Support Technician is connected, either by telephone or by Remote Control.
You will need third-party Remote Control software and high-speed Internet access to take advantage of this service, and any costs associated with either of these items are your responsibility and are not covered by the billing rate described above. As there are many different Remote Control products, please contact us to ensure compatibility.
