Nortecom Direct Support - Remote Training

Training is essential in maximizing your investment in your Digital Imaging system, and our experienced Trainers can help you and your staff achieve better results. A popular and cost effective method of training is Direct Remote Training, a combination of telephone and remote control methods. Our Trainer will speak directly with you on the telephone, answering questions and coaching you, while you simultaneously share the software program on your computer.

Direct Remote Training is different than Direct Remote Control Support. Remote Control Support is mostly one-sided, with the Nortecom Support Technician performing the intended service without teaching or explaining to you how something is done. Direct Remote Training, on the other hand, is very interactive. It's purpose is to have the Nortecom Trainer show and explain to you how something is done so that you can do it yourself next time.

To use this service, simply e-mail your completed Technical Support Request Form to support@nortecom.com, and then place your call to Nortecom General Inquiry at 905-627-6936. We will discuss your training needs and objectives, and will schedule an appointment.

At the scheduled time, you and your Nortecom Trainer will begin your telephone conversation. You must then allow the Nortecom Trainer to have temporary access to your computer. The Nortecom Trainer will then temporarily connect to your system, the training will take place, and then the Nortecom Trainer will disconnect from your system. Finally, the telephone conversation will end, and the training session will be completed. Upon disconnecting, the Nortecom Trainer will not be able to reconnect to your system without your permission.

Direct Remote Control Support is NOT a free service. This service is billed on a per-minute basis, at the rate of US$1.50 per minute, or part thereof, when you initiate the call. The billing time begins immediately when a Nortecom Trainer answers your call, or connects to your computer, whichever happens first. The billing ends as soon as the telephone call or remote connection ends, whichever happens last. In other words, you are billed for the total time that the Nortecom Trainer is connected with you, either by telephone or by Remote Control. If you would prefer to have a Nortecom Support Technician initiate the telephone call, the call is billed at US$1.75 per minute, or part thereof.

You will need third-party Remote Control software and high-speed Internet access to take advantage of this service, and any costs associated with either of these items are your responsibility and are not covered by the billing rate described above. As there are many different Remote Control products, please contact us to ensure compatibility. If you need assistance selecting and/or setting up your Remote Control software, our Support Technicians are available to assist you through our various Support options.
